FOR WEEKLY WATERCOLOUR ILLUSTRATION GROUP:
It is no secret that choosing the right materials goes a long way towards watercolour success!
For weekly watercolour lessons you will need to bring:
PAPER.
Bring any watercolour paper you already have. You can use cotton or cellulose. Look for thick pages and large format. If you need to buy paper, I recommend getting this sketchbook.
BRUSH. Soft watercolour brush.
PAINT. Please bring any watercolours you already have. If you don't yet own any paint, I recommend this starter set.
CRAYONS Unnecessary but fun! Water soluble crayons can be used as extra vibrant paint or as wax crayons for outlines and extra texture. Super pigmented and great for layering: they are versatile and fun! You do not need to buy these for illustration term, but they'll be an incredible asset if you do. Treat yourself if you're looking to get some new art supplies.
OTHER MATERIALS:
- Old kitchen towel or paper roll for cleaning brushes
- A graphite pencil and soft eraser
- Black waterproof pen
Happy painting!
