“The greatest painter that England has ever produced”. A renowned landscape painter and forefather to impressionism and abstract art – there is no doubt J.M.W. Turner was a great artist. His work changed the art world forever and continues to have a profound impact today.
Fiery skies, turbulent seas, stillness of early morning. During the course you will learn to see and capture the drama of colour and light using watercolours and gouache. We will look at Turner’s personal journey and get into the mind of the great artist. You will learn to work with new art tools and techniques and will create a range of artworks inspired by Turner’s paintings.
This course is perfect for beginners as well as experienced painters looking to refresh and improve their art skills. The group is friendly and supportive, we all help each other. There will be time for live demonstration, painting practice, and discussion. The step-by-step lessons are packed with useful information and are tailored to help improve confidence and technique.
