Discover the joy of painting and enjoy a relaxing afternoon in a friendly small group!
During the new Mixed Media we will learn to combine watercolours with pastels and other opaque mediums, make our own paper surface, and create unique texture effects. Think creative backgrounds, bold underpaintings, and painterly marks! We will spend part of the term designing a personal project by combining elements and techniques we learn each week.
There will be time for live demonstration, painting practice, and discussion. The sessions are packed with useful information and are tailored to help improve confidence and technique. Group members will need to bring their own watercolour paper, brushes, and paint for this class. Some additional art materials will be provided.
We all start somewhere, so please do not worry if you haven't painted before! This course is perfect for beginners as well as those looking to refresh and improve their art skills.
